Daniel O'Neil: A native of Lincoln, Rhode Island, Dan O'Neil was a model student. From an early age, he participated in sports, and loved skateboarding, baseball the Boston Red Sox, and playing frisbee with his friends. In the latter half of his life, he started teaching himself how to play the guitar, and participated in musical groups at Lincoln High School, where he played guitar and danced in the LHS Variety Show, and played guitar in the Jazz Band. He also loved the Beatles, and would play and sing Beatles tunes with his friends until the early hours of the morning. Aside from music, he also loved drama, and was involved with acting

with his school's drama club, and participated in the Marquis Players as a college student. He did all of this while graduating in the top 10% of his high school class. He got his undergraduate degree at Lafayette in Environmental Engineering, and while there, he started to write and record his own music, singing while he accompanied himself on his acoustic guitar. Eventually, he set up his own myspace music webpage under the name 'Resident Hippy.' Dan had a passion for water and as a grad student at Viriginia Tech he focused in hydrology. He would often talk with his friends about how he would fix structures that he saw had a problem. Dan was a smart and talented young man who was passionate about everything he did. He loved music, his family and friends, and will never be forgotten.
